Our vision is to empower individuals globally to deliver community conservation where it is most needed. We support local initiatives that work with people, and that seek to make our wild places accessible.

The volunteer team at HNP is made up of people from a diverse range of backgrounds and all walks of life. Comprising some 1500 individuals from 105 countries globally, we work with purpose and dedication towards the realization of our goals. All members are supported through developing their skills in whichever field they choose to work in, and everyone is encouraged to join us and help out.

Some of the working groups we facilitate are outlined below…

  •  Executive Committee: the guiding force for all of HN’s actions, this is for the most passionate individuals and is includes such roles as CEO, Secretary, Treasurer, Senior Program Manager, Strategy and Partnerships Lead, Marketing and Design Officer, Education Officer, Community Spokesperson, Online Systems Officer, Science and Research Officer and National Directors. Youth are allowed to take on junior assistant roles to each of these.

  • Networking: establishing partnerships with other conservation organizations, and/ acting as a contact and spokesperson for a proposed connection along these lines.

  • Financial: developing much-needed fundraising schemes including with personal donations, corporate sponsorship, grant applications and events; essential for our continued functioning.

  • Project Development: central to our operations, these skilled members upscale our projects and work on innovative solutions to existing problems.

  • Journalistic: confident writers are sought to create regular blog content and articles in line with our charity’s messaging and goals.

  • Community Building: a role requiring compassionate, motivated individuals to express support for and involve our new recruits in a mentoring system with regular check-ups.

  • Video Systems: communicating our work through this digital medium to a much wider audience, spreading inspiring messages of our goals and aims.

  • (Social) Media: spreading word of HNP through the infinite world of social media to engage with the masses and grow our team- especially amongst youth. Also contacting press where opportunity arises.

  • Research: for those of you in academia, this is the spot to be. Help out as a scientific advisor, start discussions with other intellectuals, and learn some of the nuts and bolts of conservation.

  • Educational: bringing our work to youth and schools, teaching the next generation about compassionate conservation and the need to protect all life.

  • National Teams: our global campaigns are complemented by on-the-ground conservation, community and education work done by national teams. All members are encouraged to join their national team and help out with local events.
